Bear!

We had a bear visit our yard during the summer...

So this is what I saw when I looked through my window.  He was that close...
Even though I was scared, I couldn't resist and opened my door to take some pictures...He saw me but continued to demolish my birdfeeder...(Bears LOVE birdseed!)
When I had all the photos I wanted, I tried to get him to leave by banging pot lids together and he finally sauntered over to the Cherry tree in our yard but there is no fruit on that tree and so...

He foraged around the yard, finding all the little bits of food in the grass which had been dropped there by our grandchildren who had recently visited...
Finally, when he figured there was nothing else to be found, he left.

Typographic Tool

For those of you that need dummy text this is a handy resource to have. It provides you with the standard Latin text already in HTML tags. Clicking on any of the blocks automatically copies the text to your clipboard.

Masked Layouts

Two of my favorite photoshop techniques are masking and brushwork.  Those two techniques are used in these pages from Ethan, our grandson.

Title Within a Title

I learned a new title treatment and am showing it off on this page. I think I like it! What do you think?

                                    What a grin!

I love the timeless, classic look of black and white photography!  I find that the nicest B&W photos often have a little bit of colour mixed in...Just to warm them up a little.
Montages can be such fun to do as they allow us to zoom in on details while still giving us the whole picture.
This is one of our granddaughters.

Adding a texture to a photograph allows you to quickly, (and sometimes dramatically,) alter a photo.
I will be posting FREE textures in the near future, so you can experiment yourself.  Stay tuned!

I am a digital designer and I love to create digital scrapbook pages. Often I design everything on the page myself, other times I may use a template.  I will be posting a FREEBIE template soon, which you'll be able to download and use with your own pictures.

This is the same layout but with different backgrounds.  Which one do you like better?

Here is one of my photos which I blended into a background paper.

And one more...

I thought it was interesting the way this squirrel allowed me to come close without being alarmed or getting up from his resting position.  This particular Douglas Squirrel has been around for a while and I suppose he knows me by now.

Feel free to grab this desktop image. Enjoy!
